“Ghunchah-e-Marriium” — a Heirloom Reimagined
A poetic revival of legacy, Ghunchah-e-Maryam draws its soul from a vintage bridal veil worn in 1985, lovingly reinterpreted by ISHQbyMUK with artisanal opulence. Bridging past and present, this ensemble evokes the magnificence of royal Mughal ateliers.
The Shahzadi’s Veil – Plum Whispers of the Past
Crafted in the richest plum organza, the veil is a masterpiece of ancestral artistry. Hand-embellished with traditional techniques—qoura, salma sitara, naqshi, dabqi, tilla, momi moti, and colorful resham—each motif tells a story of devotion. The turquoise arch borders in Indian raw silk, with miniature detailing and custom tassels at each end, shimmer like architecture from a forgotten era. Finished with a light dust gold zari tissue facing, the 3.25-yard veil is pure royal drama.
The pishwas Royale – Bloom of Mughal Gardens
The pishwas, dyed in a soft bloom green, features a magnificent 300-inch flare in lustrous crush shamoose silk—reminiscent of imperial grandeur. Its yoke sculpted in Indian raw silk is adorned. With fine resham embroidery in regal plum tones, both front and back. Churidar sleeves in ethereal tissue organza, detailed with tassels and border-inspired applique, add grace and movement. A wavy hemline crowns the silhouette, reflecting floral motifs from Mughal architecture.
Regal Silhouettes – The Courtier’s Ensemble
Accompanied by sharply tailored Indian raw silk straight pants, the look blends structure with softness, tradition with luxury. A perfect balance for the modern-day empress.
The Bejeweled Pottli – A Maharani’s Treasure
A two-tiered reticule-style pottli bag completes the ensemble, echoing royal accessories of Mughal zenanas. The outer shell in Indian raw silk features an oval zari tissue applique. While the inner crushed pouch closes with a lavishly adorned drawstring. Intricate applique and embellishments make it a statement of timeless regality.
It is more than couture—it’s a living heirloom, a tribute to women who wear history with grace and grandeur.
